Autumn Term 2025
What a busy term we have had here at Dene House Primary!
The whole school took part in memorable days marking Christmas, Children in Need, Black History Month, Remembrance, McMillan, Nigerian Independence, PULSE Dance Workshops and our Rights Resepecting parent event. There was also a wonderful day when the field was blanketed with snow.
KS1 and Year 3 and 4 all visited our local beach at Blackhall Rocks for some hands-on outdoor Science and Geography sessions.
KS1 also visited St Cuthberts Church and our local woodlands, Year 5 and 6 visited Jarrow Hall, Beamish (as part of the amazing Horden Regeneration Project), and Reception got out and about posting letters to Santa and enjoying Forest School. Year 3 and 4 celebrated our local mining history project with a brilliant day at Woodhorn Museum in Northumberland.
Other highlights include:
Mini First Aid, Changing States of Chocolate, and Circuits in Year 3 and Year 4
Mini Police sessions in Year 5
Christmas Mud Kitchen, Picture Books, Halloween Costumes and Bonfire Night in Reception.
We can't wait for Spring term for more experiences.
