Welcome to Our School

At Dene House Primary School we are proud to be a GOLD award winning Rights Respecting School. This means that we fully embed children’s rights throughout our school’s policy, practice, ethos and values.

We provide a happy, friendly and nurturing environment, where our children, are at the heart of all that we do. We strive to create a school that fosters ambitious independent learners who have the confidence and curiosity to ask questions, solve problems and make informed choices. When our children move forward in their educational journey, we want them to be happy individuals, who have the knowledge and skills to succeed as lifelong learners. We believe that a vital part of achieving this is working in partnership with you, our parents and carers, to ensure that our children achieve our motto, ‘Aspire, Achieve, Smile’ every day.

We hope you find our website full of useful information. If you have any questions which you cannot find the answer to, or require any paper copies of documents, please telephone our office manager, Mrs Hood, or email the school office.

Children in Need

We are incredibly proud to have been involved in promoting Children in Need’s ‘Big Fancy Dress Singalong’ with the BBC and Radio Tees.  The children were extremely excited to be part of this opportunity and worked incredibly hard to compose and rehearse their performance of the song, ‘By Your Side’, by Tom Grennan and Calvin Harris.  We are incredibly proud of all the children for the effort they have put into learning the song and singing and dancing for such a great cause.

We are a Rights Respecting Gold Award school and as such our children are passionate about supporting children who are less fortunate than themselves, improving wellbeing and helping all children and young people realise their potential.

Thank you to the kind and generous people that make up our school community for their support in raising funds for Children in Need. Please find below links to the children’s interview with BBC Radio Tees and video broadcast of the children’s performance of ‘By Your Side’ for Children in Need.
