Summer

Hello everyone! Welcome to your final term of Year 6!

Our class novel this half term is While the Storm Rages by Phil Earle. It is a poignant historical novel set in London during September 1939, as Britain stands on the brink of World War II. The story follows twelve-year-old Noah Price, who promises his father to keep their beloved dog, Winn, safe while he goes off to fight. However, when the government advises citizens to have their pets put down to prepare for the war, Noah refuses to comply. Determined to honour his promise, he embarks on a daring mission to rescue Winn and as many animals as he can, enlisting the help of his best friend Clem and a motley crew of animals, including a donkey, two kittens, and a python.
